Turtle Club is also known as “Ancient and Honorable Order of Turtles”. This organization was started as an informal drinking club for World War 2 pilots. It is not inherently masonic, even if lot of masons enjoy the lighthearted frivolity and having a fun degree that they can bestow upon their members. It is open to both men and women, masons and non-masons alike.
During the initiation candidates learn the grip, pass phrase and the history of the club. The most famous member of this club was President John F. Kennedy.
